MOULD RELEASE EMULSIONS

In the manufacture of rubber, plastics and metal parts, the quick clean and complete release of products from their forming mould is essential. Without proper release, defects in moulded parts will result leading to lower productivity, poor aesthetic quality and an increase in mould maintenance. Silicone Mould Release Emulsions are particularly suited for mould release because they easily form films of low adhesion and can therefore be applied to moulding equipment to prevent adhesion of the moulded material.

Mould Release Emulsions are mixtures of oil, surfactant (emulsifier) and water. They are widely used in industry for mould release.
Due to versatile properties of Silicones, they offer excellent mould release properties and are more efficient than conventional release agents. They show better release at lower levels than organics.
